Start-up Business

The Innovation Academy has given us many opportunities to make projects we care about that go beyond a school project. We had many opportunities in these project to be autonomous by choosing what the project would be and how we would go about it. So scroll down or click above on the projects you find interesting to learn more about it.

Pepsi Marketing

The Pepsi Marketing Project was the first project we did in Innovation. One of our classmates parents worked in a marketing company and gave us an opportunity to present a marketing campaign for Pepsi. We went through the whole design process. To begin the project, we identified our audience, which in this case was the high school students. We then began to brainstorm possible campaigns.

The Pepsi project was the first project we did in the IA. At the time i had no knowledge on premiere or photoshop so could not contribute as much as i wanted to the products. I worked heavily on investigation and ideas. I was making and conducting the surveys to make sure what we were doing would be effective. I would also help think of the possible campaigns we could do. In my group we worked on the calendar that's on the right which shows all the post we would post on specific date like mothers day, Halloween or even admission season here in Peru.

During this project our team was able to make the post seen on the right and the videos below. What was great about this project was that we got an opportunity to not only present our campaign to the owner of a marketing comapny but the CEO of Pepsi Peru himself.

This video was made by Taesam Lee, Mariano Correa and I as part of our economics project in the IA. We chose to do the project on Asia, a district in Peru where the elite would spend their summers. What people don't see is on the other side of the road where people are living in poverty throughout the whole year. You would think that all the taxes that come from the rich side of the road would circulate back to the district for improvements. We set out to investigate what was actually happening since there were no improvement. What we found out was mind blowing.

This project took as  a semester to work on since we had to do initial research, script writing, film, plan trips to location, plan interviews, and make a transcript and then edit. It was a long process but it was a great ride and it was totally worth it. Tae, Mariano and I got a chance to get closer as friends and learn a lot about video making and editing.

Below you can see some of the documents we made to stay organized during the process. When making the video we split up the roles Mariano would work with the research, Taesam with the editing, and I with Human resources. Although we had our role we all worked together to learn about everything that has to be done in a documentary.
